Just wanted to show a few photos of the Birthdays, Shayne's 7th and Fynna's 5th.

Not much going on here now, kids are in school all day and Gen is with them. They both are doing well in school and like it for the moment.

My computer is still giving me problems, but I am holding it together for as long as I can. Looks like a new one will have to be planed in sometime.

Fynna is Out of the Hospital and ready for the Festival

Fynna came home on Saturday and it was just in time for her to enjoy the Festival that was going on here in the subdivision. There was food, fun and entertainment, it was a good welcome home for Fynna. Gens Family and some friends were also here. Gen with help cooked pork, fish, chicken and I took care of the beer, I even had a little to much to drink. But then again anymore than 3 cans of beer is to much for me.
I spent most of the night talking to Gen's Father, we understand each other after a few beers, LOL.

Everyone else did most of the night or just sat aound drinking and talking. So I think everyone had a good time.

News from the House

Lot going on here for Gen, she went to a school Alumni party Saturday May 1st and was gone until Monday. Her and the kids stayed at her family's. Then she returned here and we went to the mall and get my Monitor, the screen on my laptop went bad and was getting hard to see. Gen, Shayne and myself had dinner at the mall and spent a little time walking around.

On Tuesday Gen spent the day going around town and getting the bills paid. Then the rest of the day at the wet market getting food. She is now is at her sister's house with the kids, they left yesterday late afternoon for her little sisters birthday party. They stayed the night and should be back later today, unless things change.

I have been doing a few things around the house, and spent the weekend watching the local kids fly kites. I took a few photos:

I will also be post photos on the larger blog at http://n3loh.asia should be later this weekend. They will be of the kids at the birthday party.

So I will have a day to myself and just hang out around the house. Next week should be busy going to the mall to find a few things we need for the room we are fixing up as a den. We can never find what we need at one location.

Things here are going well and we are all doing fine. Fynna has been improving and even starting to grow her hair back. It will be nice to see her with long hair.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Cats in the roof

For four days I had been hearing kittens whine and did not know where they were. Every time I would go out to find them they would stop. Well two days ago I found them. The were in a part of our roof that had no access. How the cat got in there to have little ones is still a mystery,

I call some people out yesterday to get them out, but after getting in the attic they said they did not find anything. They covered a hole and went on to their next job. About an hour later I was called by the meow of the kittens again. So we called them again and they said they would be back in the morning.

I was sung to sleep by the kittens once more. So morning came and from 4 am until about an hour before they got here the kittens we busy meowing. But nothing, not one meow when they arrived.  So I started meowing and then the kittens start and they were able to locate them. In an area with no human access.

Off comes the roof panels and four small kittens were finally removed.

Kittens in a bag.

The end of a hunt that lasted four days. the Kittens have been evicted. I do not know the fate of the kittens, they were taken away by the works. But they would not have lasted with out the mother cat having access to the area they were at. So I hope they found a new home some place, not sure how animals are delt with here.  So the story ends.....

Busy with Up Grades

Well I got tired of Microsoft again, it runs well for a while and then it starts slowing down. Just to much non-usable items get install with all their updates. So I made the move to Ubuntu. Its a Linux distribution and my computers are running at their peak again. So what is Ubuntu you ask:

Ubuntu is an operating system built by a worldwide team of expert developers. It contains all the applications you need: a web browser, office suite, media apps, instant messaging and much more.

Ubuntu is an open-source alternative to Windows and Office.

To find out more go here:

If you use you computer for email and web surfing then you really do not need to wast your time and money on Microsoft. With all the things you need to have to keep it safe and secure you could save your self some money, so give it a try. You can even run it from the CD to see if you like it. No changes will me made to your setup, just restart and your back to your old system.

OK well that is what I did Sunday and today. Everyone here is doing fine and Fynna is still fighting her cold.  If she is not better by the end of this week it will be back to the hospital.

A day at the house

Just a day at the house, Fynna is in a crying mood today. Every thing and everyone is putting her in a bad mood. The rest of the family is doing well and just doing their own thing. Gen is going to a birthday party later today, its one of her close friends birthday.

I am working on a computer, installing Ubuntu on my Netbook to give it a little more speed. Its taking longer than I am use to, due to the slow internet here in the Philippines. It was like 10 times faster in the USA. But its a minor thing, which I am getting use to. I have been doing well heath wise so far, knock on wood. So I am thnkful for that. Gen reminds me to take the meds, which I tend to forget at least once a week.

The people across from us are remodling their house, putting a 2nd floor on it. I guess I should have taken some before shots. I may get out one morning and take a few photos to show the construction here. Most every thing is done by hand, with tools they make them selves and a lot of man power.

Tell next time, hope you have a good weekend.

What has been happening?

Well things have been normal around the house this week. No trips to the hospital and no emergencies have developed. Fynna still has a cough and we are giving her meds for that, but she is doing a lot better. Her temper has flared back up again, it was gone for a short wile. I may post a mild case of her temper so you know what we are talking about. It is something we have to deal with sometimes daily. We were told it is caused by some of the treatments she gets for her Leukemia.  I will update this post when I have the video ready.

Shayne is always doing well, sometimes she feels that her sister gets all the attention but it is to be expected. I do my best to remind Gen not to forget that Shayne needs some of her time as well. Both the girls are still getting use to my ways. My views on things and what they should do differ from what they are us to. But they are both becoming closer to me and its a good sign. Shayne is a great little girl and helps out a lot with her sister, with very little fighting.

Just a view of the Beach so you remember where we are. LOL

Today we will all be going to the Mall and will spend most of the day there. Have to get food and some things for Shayne to start school in June, So the kids will be in the fun house for part of the day, this is a indoor play ground where they can have fun. We may have lunch there as well, have not decided on that as of yet. So that is all for this brief update and do not forget to leave your reply or subscribe to the RSS feeds and keep up to date.

Fynna Returns Home

Fynna has returned home and is doing well. She returned home late in the morning Saturday. So the family is back together and getting things back to normal.

Gen and I have a lot of planning to do, both of the girls have birthdays in May. We have decided to have the Pig roast on May 18th for both the girls. This will be for family and friends so stop by and join in on the fun.

Next month is going to be busy with birthdays and get the girls enrolled in schools. We still have not picked a school yet, but still have time to do this as school does not start until June 1st. So it will be shopping for birthdays, uniforms and school supplies this month.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday Morning.

Fynna still in Hospital

Update: 19:06 hours Thur April 9th.

Fynna is not coming home due to a Holiday today and noone is there to release her from the hospital. Gen told me she is doing a lot better and should get released in the morning. But we will see, I will add another update when I find out.

The doctors are keeping Fynna a little longer because they would like to give her some test. She still has a cough so they have been holding off on testing her.  Talked with Gen this morning and she is still waiting for the Doctors to make there rounds. So I might have some more news later and will update the post.

Things here are going well and the rest of us are all doing fine. The other kids have been excellent and getting along well. I have just been keeping busy working on websites and blogs.

Date is wrong on photo was taken this year.

   Have a great day!

Update on Fynna

Fynna is still in the hospital and had x-rays today of her lungs. She has had a caught for some time now and they wanted to check for problems. Gen said Fynna is getting better, but with her history then need to make sure she is strong. Gen stated that she is not feeling well and has a fever and chills. Just hope she is not coming down with something.

Everyone her at home is doing well, and the kids even like most of my cooking. The maid has been helping Gen out from time to time and I am left to cook lunch and dinner sometimes.

I am not sure when Gen and Fynna will be home so I will update you as I get the information.

Black Saturday

Gen and the Kids left early this morning and will be returning Sunday morning. A day of swiming and family fun. They are staying at relatives for the weekend to be involved with the Holy Weekend. They will all getting up very early Sunday morning for a specail mass held at the local church.

What do Christians Celebrate on Easter?
On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is typically the most well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.

Christians believe according to Scripture, that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross. As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion, is commemorated on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

The Risen Lord

I wish everyone a Blessed and Happy Easter.

Good Friday

Gen and the kids went over to her sisters home to spend the day with her family.  They had food, wine and good friends there, so what more could you ask for. I had some work to do, so I used the time while everyone was gone to get some of it done.

I was able to use Skype to talk to Martin (a good friend of mine in Cebu) for a few hours and get updated on Collinwood. So I used the time I had to my advantage.

Gen and the kids got home around 9pm so they had a good day out. They may all be going to the beach today with their family and friends.

The weather here has been hot ( in the 90s) with a few rain showers. It is summer here in the Philippines. Today it's cloudy and a little cooler (only in the high 80's) and the clouds are building. I am getting use to the area here and the noise that goes with it. Starting to sleep better; so that is a good thing. I still do not know my way around, things here all look the same along the roadways. So its been hard to pick out landmarks. I am sure I will get to a point where I will be able to find my way around. I have taken a jeepny a few times, its like riding in a sardine can; not made for tall people.
